Ramdev Patanjali Medicine for Hyperacidity

What is Hyperacidity? Its Causes, Symptoms and Home Remedies

The simplest and the easily comprehensible meaning of hyperacidity is the enhanced level of an acid named as the Hydrochloric acid it the stomach. To further clarify, hydrochloric acid is the digestive juice which is secreted by the stomach. This juice helps in the breakdown of food particles into the smallest form possible so that these may be digested and absorbed by the body easily and completely. When this acid increases in the stomach, the condition is known as hyperacidity.

Causes

Hyperacidity may be caused by multiple factors including intake of spicy and sour foods in large quantities. Apart from this, white flour sugars and white flour products are also known to increase the level of acid in the stomach. Sometimes incompatible foods that are taken together such as milk and fish or milk and salt also lead to hyperacidity.

Additionally, smoking, excessive intake of tea, coffee or alcohol and some mental states such as stress or anger also cause stomach acid to increase. Suppression of some urges such as urination or stools, eating in a state of indigestion, daytime sleep after the meals, hunger, gastroduodenal ulcer and staying awake during late-night hours also lead to hyperacidity. Excessive exposure to heat and sunlight as well as hunger are also contributing factors for hyperacidity in the stomach.

Symptoms

Hyperacidity is mostly accompanied by some common symptoms in almost all individuals. These symptoms are stiffness in the stomach, indigestion, constipation, nausea, vomiting, state of restlessness and lack of appetite.
