Ischemic Heart Disease
Ischemic Heart Disease is also known as coronary artery disease and coronary heart disease. It is a condition in which a part of the heart doesn’t get sufficient blood supply for its proper functioning. As a result, a constant chest pain is felt by the patient. This condition is mostly found when a person feels excited or suffers from exertion and needs more flow or supply of blood. But this requirement is not fulfilled and as a result, the patient experiences a pain in the chest.
Causes for Ischemic HeartDisease
As mentioned-above, ischemic heart disease is caused due to decreased supply of blood to one or more blood vessels which help in carrying oxygen to the heart. Due to reduced supply of oxygen, the heart is not able to perform its function properly due to which a pain is felt in the chest. The symptoms of ischemic heart disease appear differently in males and females. In males, a sharp and constant pain is felt in the chest and arm. On the other hand, females suffer from the problems of nausea, shortness of breath, inexplicable exhaustion, dizziness and painful feeling of tightness in back, arms and the chest.
As per ayurvedic conception, mental factors such as stress, anxiety and depression as well as bad eating habits such as consumption of fat, cholesterol and sucrose also lead to ischemic heart disease. Due to wrong eating habits and sedentary lifestyle, accumulation of toxins in the minute channels of the body including coronary arteries occurs. As a result, the supply of oxygen is reduced to heart which results in chest pain and other symptoms.
Apt Diet and Lifestyle for Ischemic heart disease
Proper Diet and Lifestyle are crucial to maintain good heath of the heart and to prevent various heart diseases such as ischemic heart disease. You need to switch over to a low saturated fat diet and cholesterol. Have plenty of fruits and vegetables in your meal plans as these help in providing proper nourishment to the heart. Keep away from smoking and alcohol as these have a negative effect on the heart. Keep your weight under control as obese people are more prone to heart diseases. Carry out exercises regularly. Remain stress free as it leads to serious heart problems by affecting the functions of heart in a negative way.
Suggestible home remedies
Heart patients should use com oil, olive oil or sunflower seed oil for cooking. Consume seasonal fruits. Some fruits are especially effective in this regard such as apple, pineapple, custard apple, pomegranate, grapes, and orange. Have coconut water as well. Use garlic while cooking as well as consume it in raw form on an empty stomach in the morning to remain free from heart diseases. Similarly, onions and honey are excellent home remedies for heart diseases.
